First Thought Talks 2023: Internationally renowned photographer, film maker, DJ, and chronicler of hip-hop music and culture Brian Cross [AKA B+] exhibited his work at Galway City Museum during Galway International Arts Festival 2023. He discusses his life and work with RTÉ DJ Ray 'Wingnut' Cuddihy above.
Cross has directed several films and music videos and was the director of photography for the Oscar-nominated documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop. He is currently Associate Professor of Visual Arts at the University of California San Diego.
His photography book Ghost Notes: Music of the Unplayed was published by University of Texas Press in 2017.
