Dubliners are asked if they know what a vasectomy is and would they have one?
Two men stopped on the street are reluctant to admit they know what a vasectomy is, but neither of them would have one. An older man approves of vasectomies on health grounds, such as a mother not wanting anymore children.
A man from the north of Ireland says
I would be afraid that it would have some bearing on their mental state later on you may wish to have a family and find that you couldn’t.
Another man rules out the prospect of have a vasectomy in the future.
I reckon I'm OK as I am, I can't improve, certainly if I lose something it won’t make me any better.
Women are also asked about vasectomies,

One woman believes if a couple are married and the wife cannot take contraception for religious reasons then her husband should have a vasectomy.
Another woman thinks a vasectomy is a great idea for a man whereas another does not think it is natural.
An older woman adds,
I'm not a man so I couldn't say whether I would approve or not.
