Romantic Regency fashion isn't going anywhere, as Maura Higgins proved that the corset is still a show-stopping look.
Since the premiere of Netflix hit Bridgerton, corsets have become a staple piece in our wardrobes, whether it's for an elegant wedding or a fun and flirty night on the town.
Maura showed just how versatile the look is, when she stepped out recently in a truly jaw-dropping look.
The Irish star walked the red carpet at the Beauty Awards this week alongside fellow former Love Island contestants, making a statement in a corset gown.
Held in HAC in London's City Central, the Beauty Awards is now in its 22nd year, The Beauty Awards celebrates products that bring something unique to the market, and rigorously tests products through expert judging, public voting and more.
The glamorous event was hosted by RuPaul's Drag Race judge Michelle Visage.
Maura dressed to the nines for the occasion, making an entrance in a dramatic ensemble by designer Ellie Misner. Styled by Emily Evans, the cream-coloured gown featured a form-fitting corset in a shimmering material, which was paired with a flowing skirt that was gathered at the hip, flashing some skin.
She accessorised this with opera length black vinyl gloves, while her makeup was bold and graphic, with a dramatic feline eyeliner and nude glossy lips. Her hair was styled into a slick 90's inspired bun, with one tendril framing her face.
Fellow Love Islanders Arabella Chi and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu also walked the red carpet on the night. Arabella wore a slinky black one-shouldered gown featuring a thigh-high slit, while Ekin-Su wore a flirty mini dress embellished with shimmering details.
