Energy supplier Yuno has announced a new, lower electricity price for customers who lock into the agreed rate for 12 months.
Yuno will charged fixed customers 31.55c per kWh, 5% less than the 33.35c it currently charges.
It said this would be cost an average customers €1,590 per year, €430 less than the average standard rates offered by others.
Yuno - which is owned by the same company as Prepaypower - launched in August, claiming to have the cheapest rate on the market.
Price cuts by other suppliers quickly followed its arrival, prompting Yuno to cut its initial rate in October.
Yuno CEO Cathal Fay said the lower, fixed rate would be particularly attractive to energy users that have not switched provider in over a year.
However it will continue to offer its variable rate for those who do not wish to fix on a price for the coming year.
