Tipperary native Dàwna first started sharing music in 2020 on TikTok and he released his debut The Mythology EP last April.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I'm a new dad to my baby girl Sage. I studied English in NUI Galway and I’m pretty sure that’s where my love for lyrics and storytelling comes from. I used to go to the Canary Islands every summer to play cover gigs.

How would you describe your music?

Lyrical, intense, catchy, bold.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, Eminem, Dermot Kennedy, J-Cole, Nic D.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Damien Rice in Whelan’s.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Northern Attitude by Noah Kahan or Came of the Bank by Hazey Haze.

Favourite lyric of all time?
