Finding that you have not achieved your sustainability goals is frustrating, but it is important to ensure that stakeholders’ expectations are maintained by providing them with feedback and a proper roadmap on the way forward. With that, begin active and open reporting on events and status, including the things that did not go as planned and what is being done to move forward. This is the time also to factor in new goals and to establish smaller achievable objectives in between that will show the progress. By sharing and consulting stakeholders, everyone would be on the same side working towards the goals and coming up with solutions.
