Upload custom content
- [Instructor] With a LinkedIn learning subscription, not only learners have access to the LinkedIn Learning Library, but you'll also have the ability to add some of your organization's custom content to the platform. Say for instance, you have a video that you created specific to your new hires, you could add your organization's video to the LinkedIn Learning Library so it's accessible right inside of the platform. Let's take a look at how to do this. First I'm going to navigate to the top, to the content tab. From here, I'll select library, and this brings me to my library. I can see here learning paths, collections, links and more that are inside of here, but I want to go up to the top and select add. From here I'll click on upload content. Here, note that depending on your subscription, you'll have a certain number of custom content items that your organization will be able to add. In this case, I had 20, but I have 18 remaining. Now you can add the content by adding a link, so it does have to be housed with a URL. In this case, I'm going to go over to a video that we created that's housed on YouTube that's a PSA from our company, and I'm going to go ahead and paste that in here and then click submit. Once it processes that, I can go in and change that title if I want to. So in here, I'm going to change this up. Now you can put a description in there. I'm just going to put a sample description. However, I would recommend that you take the time to put in a good description for it. Then you'll have the new URL for it. You can select the discoverability. In this case, I'll say everyone can see it. You can add any relevant skills that they'll get from this. You can say, PSA here, I could add it, or I could search for a new one, let's say leadership, something like that, and then select it. In this case, they'll all get rid of both of these and say they're not getting a skill from this video. Now you can also select a thumbnail. So you could go with the default one. You could click on this generated image, or if you have your own, you could upload a 600x340 pixel image to use as that thumbnail. I'm going to select this image, and then I'll click publish. Well, and I didn't add a skill, so you do have to add at least one skill here. I'm going to put PSA back in here, and then I'll click publish. So here you can now recommend this to learners. You can choose the learners and groups. So if you want to select specific groups or people to send it to, you can do that. Otherwise, you can click on select all learners if you want to send it to everyone. Now, in this case, let's say that's what I wanted to do. Here though it says, do not send an email notifying all learners. So you could recommend that to them, but not send an email out to all of them. When you're done, you'd click on next and it will go out. Now, in this case, let's say I don't even want to notify them that way. I just want to send this out right now to another person on the team to make sure it's okay. I'll click next. You can add a note, and then I'll click recommend. So I've recommended that content to one person. Now here I can see that it's inside of our library. I can see that the Enigma PSA is right here. It's a video. It's telling me when it was modified, so when it was loaded. So take advantage of this and add your organization's custom learning content to the platform where you can then share it out, add it to learning paths, and more.
