Máire Comerford came up from Wexford to witness the first meeting of the Dáil. She recalls what little it was possible to see and hear of the events. She also attended a social gathering afterwards.
An extract from a programme in the series 'Yesterdays'. Máire Comerford was at the first meeting of the Dáíl. She and friends had travelled up from Wexford and had tickets to attend the proceedings. Her memory of the event is that it was not possible to see or hear very much. After the meeting of the Dáil Máire and a freind attended a function hosted by Count and Countess Plunkett in the Mansion House.
