If you were asked any known fact about poet Theo Dorgan, you might say he's from Cork and being a Corkman is the starting point of his new book, Once Was a Boy. He talks to RTÉ Arena above.
It is a collection of poems that look back on Dorgan's boyhood in Cork; his home and family life and then his early education in the convent and the Boys Primary School.
These poems explore a past where everything is new and every experience is felt for the first time.
Once Was a Boy is published by Dedalus Press. Listen to more from RTÉ Arena here.
