Seóirse Bodley talks about his composition inspired by imagining an impression of Ireland from the sky.

A Small White Cloud Drifts Over Ireland was written for Orchestra in 1975. Composer Seóirse Bodley tells Gay Byrne about his inspiration for the piece which include suggestive titles given to Japanese music.

You can imagine let's say a small white cloud drifting over the country and from this vantage point...the whole sort of aura and feeling of the country rises upwards if you like.
