Heated is a new six-part series on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player dealing with climate change.
The show has a diverse panel of presenters including journalist and farmer Hannah Quinn Mulligan, Dr. Michelle McKeown of UCC's School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Rónán Ó Dálaigh, founder of sustainable charity shop, Thriftify.
Each week, they will bring us three stories about practical, informative or inspirational aspects of climate action.
The factual series promises to delve into the implications of climate change for the people in this country – telling stories of hope, inspiration, and practical endeavor as we push to cut emissions.
Often climate change output is negative which can lead to feelings of hopelessness and despair, but this series is based on citizen activism – aiming to inspire groups and individuals to make a difference.
Heated seeks out inspirational stories of ordinary people making significant differences in their communities. These may seem tiny on a global scale but if more people follow their example together they can make a big difference.
Tonight's episode will kick off the series by looking at peatland restoration, fly tipping in the Dublin Mountains, and the climate goals of a fan-owned soccor club.
Heated airs on RTÉ One on Thursday, October 26 at 8.00pm.
