A man in his 20s has died in a road crash at Carrignavar, Co Cork.
The single-vehicle crash happened at Gortnalahee at 6.45am.
The man, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead before his body was removed to Cork University Hospital.
A post-mortem examination on the man's body will be conducted later.
Investigating gardaí at Gurranabraher in Cork city are appealing to witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have phone or dashcam footage to contact them.
The road remains closed while it is forensically examined and gardaí said local diversions were in place.
