If you are reading this and you see the words Climate Crisis it might all feel a bit much. But, we always have to remember that even big names like Greta aren't doing it all by themselves.
That's why it’s so important that we share our worries, our strengths and our hopes for a better future with those around us. It's always better to come together!
And sometimes, we need to come together to celebrate the good things that we are all doing. That's why Ecolution's roaving reporter, Aoife O'Neill, headed to Fenit in County Kerry to check out a brilliant local festival called Wild Mind.

The event gathered scientists, environmentalists, authors, and artists together to talk about our natural world, climate change and how we treat the planet.
We boat out on the Kerry Colleen to visit the protected nursery for rays. Speak with Louise Overy from the Irish Elasmobranch group about baby sharks.
Meet environmental campaigner and Eco Eye presenter Duncan Stewart to discuss a life devoted to the planet as well as the EcoEd4All programme, focusing on "making environmental education a cornerstone of the formal second level curriculum".
Pádraic Fogarty of the Irish Wildlife Trust talks about active responses and the need for resilience. Plus we soak up the atmosphere with festival goers and participants, all there to make a difference. No matter how small.
Speaking on the impact community efforts like this can have Louise Overy said that we should "focus on active hope. Focus on the things you can do, the people you can talk to. One saying I absolutely love is 'if you think you’re too small to be significant then you’ve never been in bed with a mosquito!"
Mike O’Neill one of the main planners of Wild Mind since its inception said:
"As things unfold you realise that everything is interconnected; that all of us as people are interconnected; our ideas are connected and our systems too. At the end of the day, it’s about how are we living. We’re not doing a good job at the moment, but I think we definitely have the smarts and the intelligence to turn things around and say "Look! It doesn’t have to be this way."
Wild Mind is in its third installment but we can’t wait to see what they have planned for 2024.
