- [Narrator] Let's explore using darkening blend modes, specifically in this case multiply, in combination with transparency options. These different examples all use the same colors. What's changing is the blend mode and the blending options. On my second artboard, I'll apply the effects. I'll leave the first one as a control. This is how it looks in normal blend mode. Note that the blending options work best when the document is in RGB color mode. I'll come to the transparency panel and I want to make sure that I have these options shown. If you don't see these, come and choose Show Options. In the multiply example, I'll select these two pieces of type, change the blend mode to multiply. The two shapes interact with each other, and they also interact with the color of the background. For the next example, I'm going to start exactly the same way, but then I'm going to group them together, Command or Control + G, and choose Isolate Blending. So now the blending happens within the…
